                                                          Snoreeze by Coooeee

Shut your gob will you? is a sentence that echoes round my house every night. All is peaceful and calm until my husband decides to go to bed. You see I am a passive snorer. I have suffered many years of him snoring all night long. He doesn't wear anything in bed so I can't try the old fashioned method of sewing ping-pong balls onto a t-shirt or pyjama jacket. So that when he rolls on his back where the snoring gets louder with each breath he takes, nothing prompts him to roll over except maybe a sharp dig in the ribs or a twist of skin on some part of his anatomy.

You ladies and men that live with a snorer will know exactly what I am talking about. It is like lying next to someone drilling in the road and all you want to do is shut him or her up just for five minutes until you can at least drop off to sleep yourself. The times I have been tempted to put a pillow over my husbands head cannot be counted on all my fingers and toes. His main reason for snoring is weight gain, smoking and sadly age as all your skin slackens as you get older, even in your mouth Lol.

So what remedies have I tried in the past I can hear you asking me? Well I tried the nasal strips, aromatherapy oils and a massage, magnetic bangles, hypnosis, specially shaped pillows and I even had him tested for sleep apnoea, Waste of time, I've tried numerous earplugs all to no avail. As you can see living with a snorer will drive you to try almost anything at least once. It only takes 30 decibels to disturb your sleep yet the average snorer will chuck out at least 80 decibels

Then last year I saw an advert for a product called Snoreeze. Will it work on my husband was the question I needed answered. I have been trying to find a cure for nearly thirty years now and am fed up with throwing good money after bad.

?So what exactly is Snoreeze?

It is an oral spray full of natural ingredients that consists of mainly oils. The combinations of ingredients help stop the vibrations in the roof and back of the throat that cause snoring. The spray coats these areas causing the skin to tighten making them less likely to vibrate during the sleeping period. It is very safe to use and has not been genetically modified. I have tried finding out if the product is tested on animals but am still waiting to hear back from the company.

?How easy is it to buy?

You do not need a prescription for the spray and it is widely available at pharmacists, health shops and supermarkets and on the web. It is available worldwide so no excuse that you don't live in the UK. The cheapest I have found so far using the Internet is £12.95 and Kelkoo.co.uk offer a 28-day money back guarantee and full refund on the 60ml size spray if you find the product does not work for you

?How easy is it to use

It is really simple. Use at least an hour after food and drink and at night. Tilt your head back and spray towards the back of the throat three times. Do not swallow for 20 seconds. It will not be effective if you eat or drink after applying the spray so if you do have a midnight snack you will have to repeat the process all over again.

?What does it taste like?

It has a mild peppermint taste and does not sting or burn in any way although a slight tingling can be felt shortly after use

?How long does a bottle of spray last?

According to the manufacturers they suggest at least 28 applications Each application lasting up to eight hours but I think they are a little over zealous in their estimation. I have found it more like 24/26 applications but this does vary with each new bottle of spray. If you work out on their estimation then buying a new bottle every 28 days soon builds up to a hefty price of approximately £170.00 for a year.

?Does it work?

Well Yes and No. The first few days Pete used it there was no difference at all and after that although the snoring didn't actually stop it was reduced dramatically and much quieter. Of course I just had to buy another bottle once the first one ran out as I really was impressed and was much happier and had far less headaches than I had had in years.

Halfway through using the second bottle I noticed the snoring was starting to become much louder and more frequent again so I rang the snoreeze helpline whose advice was not to increase the dose but to stop using their product for a few day then to resume using it again. Well that did work for a short while but yet again the problem of loud snoring keeps rearing its ugly head so if you have found the ultimate cure please share the secret with me.

?Would I recommend it then?

Well yes I would even if you use it occasionally as it did work for the first six weeks at least and others may find they have the perfect solution to their partners snoring. With a money back offer if it doesn't work you cant really go far wrong by trying it at least so if you do try it and decide to return it then remember to keep your receipt somewhere safe as you will need it.

?Are there any health reasons why it shouldn't be used?

The short answer to that question is Yes

Pregnant women shouldn't use it
It contains nut oil so anyone with a nut allergy should avoid using it
If using homeopathic medicines consult your homeopathic or regular doctor first
If you suffer from any respiratory problems at all you must not use it.
Keep out of the reach of children as the pump nozzle is made of small parts and a child could choke on these if the pump were broken. Also the obvious reason is it is a medicine and shouldn't be anywhere within reach of children no matter what their age is.
